- Mr Brewer Added January 24, 2018★ ☆ ☆ ☆ ☆New Owner Greg changed drive belt on our car during a service which seemed fair enough. There was no noise(squeek) from the belt so debatable whether it needed doing in the first place but agreed he could change it. The new belt he fitted started to squeal. He changed the belt again with the same cheap belt but it squealed again so I went back. He tried a shorter belt but it broke. He put another cheap belt on and said it was the tensioner. By this time I'm getting suspicious and changed the tensioner with a friend because he quoted between $170 and $270 labour. We changed it in 1 hr ($100 in labour)so his labour cost was excessive. The belt still sqealed so the tensioner was fine. When I confronted him he said it must have been from the new tensioner we fitted which is a load of crap. I replaced the belt with a genuine Nissan belt and it's good as new. I would recommend to stay clear of B and T. Greg comes across nice but had cost me heaps and stuffed me around for the last time. Not happy.
